Syleena Johnson Album Drop Update

Suffering from Beyonce fatigue? Then get ready to get your soul fix on with a sista who can bring the real pain. Syleena Johnson's cd, Chapter 4: Labor Pains is set to drop on January 13, 2009. Here's a peep at the track list:

1. Intro
2.Labor Pains
3. Where's the Love
4. Freedom
5. Is It Because I'm Black
6. Be Me
7. Interlude: Redstorm's Domestic Lesson
8. You Let Me Down
9. Shoo Fly
10. Maury Povich
11. It Is True
12. Your Love
13. My First
14. Personal Trainer
15. Go Home
16. Go
17. Outro

Maury Povich? Is It Because I'm Black? Sounds like S'Leena gonna come back hard on this one and put the so-called nuDivas on notice. Click on this link and get a listen to Shoo Fly and It Is True. Both tracks are blazin, but I'm more partial to the latter track.

Yes, I'm anticipating this next Chapter. Syleena Johnson is so resilient. She doesn't allow anyone or anything hold her back from doing her music. This is why I lover her music so much...you can tell she's very passionate and real about every word she sings.

Maury Povich and Is It Because I'm Black. I know that Maury Povich track is gonna be hilariously funny.

I believe Is It Because I'm Black is a remake of her father's song.

I've heard Freedom too. That one sounds like an Anthem.

Been loving her since Chapter 1. Syleena Johnson is definitely good for the Soul. I'm always ready to hear her voice.

Syleena has worked hard to get her own independent record label, worked with producers who are embarking on a new sound, and wrote every song on Chapter 4: Labor Pains. All to give you nothing but the best music.

Her goal is to be the first black R&B female to ever go fully independent and debut #1 on the Billboard Independent charts. Help Syleena make history.

Good music is undeniable and word of mouth is powerful. Help us deliver Chapter 4: Labor Pains. Please pass the word on to your friends.

Thank you all,

To all: Thanks for the great feedback! Check back in next week for posts on artists who I feel are "keeping the faith" in today's Soul Movement.
